Barack Obama's Economic Recovery Plan is needed for the short term and needed in the worst way, but will it solve the long term crisis our country faces?
We have serious problems here in the United States of America not because of the the Democrats or Republicans, but because of the Democrats and the Republicans.
The Washington politicians working hand in hand with folks like the NAM and the Chamber of Commerce in their never ending quest for cheap labor have created a climate to help Corporate America outsource American jobs and move manufacturing facilities to places like India, China and Mexico where the labor is cheap and the regulations are few. Bill Clinton, a Democrat with the support of folks like Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, signed the NAFTA agreement and just as Ross Perot predicted we are still hearing the "giant sucking sound" of that deal.
Now our country is in a mess, we don't make anything, import nearly everything, hire illegal aliens to keep labor cost down and outsource everything possible.
When my wife was in the hospital last week I was told by a person that wishes to remain anonymous that her x-ray was being read by a person in India, they call it teleradiology. Hell some folks are even outsourcing their elderly parents to foriegn countries like India. What's next, who knows but don't be surprised when you find out your children are outsourcing their home work!
In conclusion, will the Obama Economic Recovery Plan Work? Yes in the short term. No in the long term, unless of course we decide as a country to make what we consume. Or we can continue printing money until a dollar ain't worth a penny.
