Mountaintop Removal Refuse Fight Still Raging In Appalachia
The Obama administration is set to ask the courts to overturn an 11th hour Bush policy change that now allows the dumping of surface mining refuse 100ft near streams.
Governor Steve Beshear, Attorney General Jack Conway, Congressman John Yarmuth and Congressman Ben Chandler has sent protest letters to the EPA asking them to reject Bush's policy change a few months ago.
Right or wrong; that organized protest backfired as dozens of Kentucky Coal County Legislators protested the protest. The political fallout in the coal fields is still evolving. We may not know how bad it really is for a few months.

Conservatives for Patients Rights Leader Brings Legacy of Fraud
Over here in Paducah, Kentucky we have some ultra-Conservative media. The Paxton Media Group owns several Western Kentucky newspapers including the Paducah Sun and they have their own little radio station that they allow propoganda masters such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingram to spew forth their venomous talking points. Lately, I have heard radio commercials from a group called "Conservatives for Patients Rights" running ads against the 50 million people who have no health insurance.

While this fact is troubling in itself, what is really disappointing is that some people seem determined to defend it. According to Mark Karlin Editor and Publisher of BuzzFlash.com he, Mark received an email from Jonathan Falwell son of the late Jerry Falwell. The email seems to indicate that the signs of Jesus' second coming are all around us.
OK Jonathan if you really believe Jesus is going to show up soon then why are you so interested in earthly politics and earthly Judges? And why are you spreading what many of us consider lies?

For instance, here is Jonathan Falwell writing on WorldNetDaily, who cites this provision as proof that “public religious expression is increasingly in the crosshairs of our government”:

Sometimes you just have to scratch your head and wonder if our lawmakers have even a basic understanding of our nation's rich history of religious freedom.

I suggest that Jonathan Falwell is just another Jesus talkin', evil walkin', hypocrite that uses Christianity to promote his agenda of hate and that becomes obvious to me when he speaks of Ann Coulter.

Jonathan, I suggest if Jesus was living among us today you and your Right-Wing Neo Con pals like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh would call him a Left Wing Socialist and crucify him the second time. So don't use your Jesus talk with me because I've got your number!
