"Riks" Speech:
I ask you tonight: Do leaders really matter? That question has prompted debates for centuries. One philosopher said, “The history of the world is but the biography of great men.” Tonight we honor a time in history that many call “the greatest generation” of America. A time when sacrifice and giving were the norm of those to whom much was asked. Today, America seems more in tune with what with “what can my government do for me” rather than following the vision of President Kennedy when he said, “Ask not what you country can do for you, but rather what you can do for your country.”
