While I was in Murray, Kentucky July, 5 2008 shooting video, I noticed folks
wearing Republican shirts and stickers of Republican Candidates hanging around
the New
Life Christian Book store on the corner of 5th & Main. I soon found out that
Senator Mitch Mitch McConnell was going to be in the store and was told by
several people that the event was by invitation only so I took my camcorder and
went to the side entrance of the New Life Christian Bookstore and believe me my
presence wasn't welcomed! The door entrance was surrounded by folks wearing
McConnell T- shirts. There was no doubt in my mind that this was a Mitch
McConnell event and it appears it was held in a non profit facility.

Christian Bookstore and coffee bar owned was owned by a church until I
checked the
kysos web site. .
Was the law violated here? I don't know, but here is what the law says:
Internal Revenue Service
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violating this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise taxes.
Below is a short video clip of all the McConnell supporters crowed around the side entrance of the New Life Christian Bookstore and then entering. I have much more footage, but believe me it would be very boring to watch all of it and I don't want to put up parts of it that may be used at a later date.
