Our Senator, Mitch McConnell, is once again doing his best to see that Americans don't have the same affordable heath care he has. In a letter to President Barack Obama signed by Sens. Charles Grassley of Iowa, Mike Enzi of Wyoming, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire and Orrin Hatch of Utah he wrote the following: “It is essential that we work together across party lines and we would like to express our strong desire to reject partisan tactics and move forward on this important challenge in a comprehensive, inclusive and bipartisan manner,”
“Forcing free market plans to compete with these government-run programs would create an unlevel playing field and inevitably doom true competition,” the letter stated. “Ultimately, we would be left with a single government-run program controlling all of the market. This would take health care decisions out of doctors and patients and place them in the hands of another Washington bureaucracy.”
These guys are out of touch and once again are trying to sabotage health care reform. The video below reflects the views of Mitch McConnell's constituents and I suggest he start listening to them.
