Markos Moulitsas, a grassroots advocate known nationally for his Daily Kos political blog, outlined the formula from his new book for future Democratic success at a gathering of party activists last night. He shared the podium with Jim Derych, also an author and blogger, who described his disillusionment as a one-time follower of Rush Limbaugh. These guys are the real deal. Moulitsas and fellow blogger Jerome Armstrong have just published Crashing the Gate. Derych’s Confessions of a Former Dittohead, originally a diary on Daily Kos, is a unique personal and political memoir that follows red-stater and social conservative on a unique journey from right to left. The chili was great (prepared by Executive Committee Members), attendance was huge, approximately 200 Democrats. A lot of money was raised. The candidates were upbeat and chomping at the bit to take our country back. I left feeling I had just attended a homecoming event. View Photos
