I went to
Whitfield's Government web site today and I couldn't believe what I
was reading about the economy. Ed. must have one of those lazy ass wall
street bankers doing his site because it sure is in need of updating.
I took a screen shot of it today to share it with you. Ed. Whitfield is
either too lazy to keep his site updated or he just doesn't want to face the
fact that our economy is in shambles.
The Livingston Group represents
Libya (Remember Pan Am 103?) as lobbyist in Washington D.C. The
Livingston Group has also represented Turkey as lobbyist in Washington D.C.
Congress Watch, an arm of Public Citizen, released a 49-page
report highlighting ethical concerns about the Livingston Group's lobbying
efforts for the Turkish Government. The report details the efforts by
Livingston, to secure a "$1 billion supplemental appropriation for Turkey. . .
despite that country’s refusal to allow U.S. troops to use its soil as a
staging area for the Iraq invasion. He also helped kill an amendment
that would have formally recognized the Armenian Genocide that occurred between
1915 and 1923." The Livingston Group has received over $10 million in payments
from Turkey. To read this entire report, visit: http://www.lobbyinginfo.org/documents/RevolveDoor.pdf
Today, July 5, 2008, I was in Murray, Kentucky attending the
Freedom Fest Parade and I showed Heather Ryan a video clip of Ed. Whitfield.
I asked her what she thought of the clip and Heather said "Thanks Ed". The 32 sec. video clip is below.
