Click here to tell Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-2) how you feel about Health Care Reform.
This is what I wrote: Mr.
Guthrie You and your family have good health care paid for by folks
like me and folks like you don't seem to care about us out here in the
private sector. You see I worked at a place for over 35 years and I was
promised health care benefits as part of my retirement package, but
guess what, they broke their promise and now unlike you I'm left
holding the bag. People like you had the power to stop corporations
from breaking promises to their employees, but they didn't. So why
should I believe you have my interest in mind now?

Dave Adkisson, President Kentucky Chamber of Commerce had a letter published in the Hardin County News Enterprise, click here to see it or read it at the bottom of this post. David Adkisson thanked Brett Guthrie (KY-2) for standing up to the The Employee Free Choice Act and called it dangerous legislation. In his letter he says " Because unions would know who had and had not signed a card, workers would be exposed to unrelenting pressure and coercion. Exposing workers to this harassment may seem unfair, but the goal of this legislation isn’t fairness – it’s getting workers to sign cards and begin paying union dues". Dave Adkisson seems to indicate he's worried about the American worker when in reality, I feel, he, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the United States Chamber of Commerce want cheap labor for those they represent. I understand that, but when Dave Adkisson seems to indicate he's standing up for the American worker I feel he's being deceptive to say the least. It seems to me they Dave Adkisson, the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the United States Chamber of Commerce want to instill fear of labor Unions into the hearts of the American worker, when in fact there is know reason to fear them at all. This is the same tired old fear tactic used by the GOP to keep us occupied with fear while their pals on Wall Street were stealing us blind. So what does the Chamber of Commerce really stand for?
According to this author they stand for cheap foreign labor.
The Kentucky Chamber opposes state and local wage mandates that go beyond federal requirements. When state or local governments attempt to mandate wage and benefit thresholds, safety regulations or additional standards that go beyond what is necessary to provide basic, uniform protections, the added cost of doing business — and the lack of focus on the real issues that could make a difference – decreases Kentucky’s overall competitiveness, particularly with our border and peer states.
The Kentucky Chamber supports legislation that repeals the employer mandate to withhold union dues from an employee’s salary.
The Kentucky Chamber is firmly opposed to any local or statewide expansion of public employee collective bargaining. The expansion of public employee collective bargaining can lead to inefficient administration of public duties, increased costs to taxpayers and an increased likelihood of interruptions of essential government services.
They campaign against Democratic candidates and use excerpts from news papers like the Paducah Sun to promote their view. Click here to see the video they used against Bruce Lunsford, click here to see their union fear tactic ad and click here to see their youtube channel.

Jim Weise's Letter to the Editor The Hardin
County News Enterprise
I love America and especially the 4th of July. I love seeing the American
flag waving and hearing the Star-Spangled Banner, our national anthem. I love
the fireworks and everything for which the 4th of July stands — the celebration
of our independence as a democratic republic.
I love the USA and everything it represents not only to us, but to the
whole world — a beacon for democracy and for good people doing the right things
for the right reasons. As much as I love America, I despise our enemies, both
foreign and domestic.
Who poses some of the greatest threats to America? We do — Americans who
do not look realistically at what is going on in America and the world,
especially regarding internal and external threats to America.
In November American voters will determine who will lead the free world
for the next four years. Sen. John McCain, a real war hero who served this great
land in the military and in the Senate faithfully for years, is a man who has
the backbone to defend the American way of life against all enemies, foreign and
domestic. His opponent is Sen. Barack Hussein Obama. He is the ultimate liberal
and is opposed to every decent value in America. He is pro-abortion, pro-gay,
anti-gun, for increased taxes, basically anti-military and essentially a
socialist.
Don’t kid yourself. Obama is dangerous to everything we hold dear as
Americans if one is even remotely moderate or conservative. His voting record
(when he voted yes or no instead of “present”) shows him to be the most liberal
of all U.S. senators, even more liberal than Hillary Clinton or Ted Kennedy. His
most dangerous position is that he is anti-Iraq; he would have us withdraw from
Iraq and give the Islamic terrorists the opportunity to undo everything for
which we have fought. Soon the Iraqi people will be able to defend themselves
against Islamic terrorists and the Iraqi people deserve a real chance at
democracy.
Abandoning our efforts there now would be the unconditional surrender to
an enemy whom we have almost completely defeated. It would be ridiculous.
Regardless of one’s politics, all Americans need to view the Heritage
Foundation presentation “Because They Hate — A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns
America.” It is available through the foundation’s Web site. Also check out
AmericanCongressforTruth.com
and
www.obsessionthemovie.com.
Stop and think about why the leader of Hamas endorsed Obama. He sees Obama
as weak on terrorism and more friendly toward Islamic terrorists than McCain is.
Enjoy the 4th of July, but let’s not allow the fireworks in America to be
due to another attack by Islamic terrorists or give them an ally in the White
House.
If you are serious about keeping America free, please check out the
information sites above and vote for Sen. McCain. He won’t sell us out to
radical Islam. We do not need the abomination of an Obama nation. Never forget
9/11/2001.
Enjoy the 4th of July, but always be vigilant. We have many enemies who
would love to see us never celebrate another 4th of July.
May God continue to bless America as a beacon for democracy. Jim Weise, Chairman 2nd District Republicans Elizabethtown

www.bluegrassroots.org According to information presented by the Federal Election Commission -
2007-2008 Cycle, Congressman Ron Lewis, R2, Ky., has received individual
contributions amounting to
$100,854
from 79 individuals and
$457,587
from Non-Party (e.g. PACs) or Other Committees.
One could reasonably conclude, after looking at the above numbers, that
the Most Reverend Congressman Ron Lewis is owned by special interest.
