David Boswell Picks Up Two More Newspaper Endorsements; Has Lead in Latest Poll.

Over the weekend, David Boswell picked up the endorsements of the Courier-Journal and the Elizabethtown News-Enterprise, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a poll showing that if the election were held today, David Boswell would beat Brett Guthrie, 47%-41%.
On Friday, the News-Enterprise backed Boswell, saying, "Boswell with his experience and expertise clearly would be more likely to have a voice in shaping the policies that are most important to residents of the 2nd Congressional District..." On Saturday, Boswell also picked up the endorsement of the Courier-Journal, who said "he has been willing to take the right position on difficult issues..."
In addition to the endorsements, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a poll showing David Boswell with a 6-point lead over Brett Guthrie. Boswell leads Guthrie as the candidate who "will do more to protect jobs in Kentucky" and who "will fight to protect the middle class."
The Boswell campaign also released a new ad this weekend on the "Guthrie Gamble" – Guthrie supports putting pensions in the stock market, he is a champion for NAFTA and other trade deals that will send jobs overseas, and he raised money from Dick Cheney and his friends in big oil while Kentucky families were paying more and more at the pump.

 The big boys were in Hardin County, Kentucky today and they were fired up and ready to go. Among those at the rally were former Nebraska Governor and former U.S. Senator J. Robert “Bob” Kerrey, former Governor John Young Brown Jr., Governor Steve Beshear, Congressman John Yarmuth, David Boswell, Bruce Lunsford, Mike Weaver, former Senator Walter"Dee" Huddleston, Greg Fischer, State Rep. Jimmie Lee and more.
 This tells me the Democratic party is leaving no stone unturned to win in November. I've put together 4 fairly short videos of the event and they are below. I also managed to get a few photos, click here to view them.

Right here in red state Kentucky folks were standing in the cold rain waiting to get in the Bowling Green airport to hear and see former President Bill Clinton stump for US senatorial candidate Bruce Lunsford and Kentucky's 2nd district congressional candidate David Boswell.
 I feel Kentuckians are ready for change and I base this feeling on what I'm seeing and I'm seeing it all over Kentucky. Hell Western Kentucky is one of the most conservative places on earth,  a Mitch McConnell strong hold and folks there Thursday October 23, 2008  were chanting "Ditch Mitch" at the Kentucky Dam Village Convention Center McConnell/Lunsford debate site. This sort of thing would not have occurred a year ago. I'm tellin' ya Mitch is in real trouble.

(Owensboro – KY)   Senator David Boswell released a memo from his latest poll, which showed him holding the edge over Brett Guthrie, 41%-40%, with 19% of voters still undecided.  The poll was conducted by Garin Hart Yang Research Group on October 8th and 9th.
One other striking finding of the latest campaign poll is that while Brett Guthrie barely holds onto a favorable rating among voters, David Boswell is viewed favorably by more than a two to one margin. Boswell also holds leads on standing up to the special interests, bringing a fresh approach to Washington, and looking out for average families.
"Our polls reflect what we have heard when talking to Kentuckians – in these uncertain times, voters are looking for an experienced and principled candidate, and in this race that candidate is David Boswell," said Mark Riddle – Boswell's senior strategist and media advisor. Click here to view poll

(Owensboro – KY) In yet another sign of Senator David Boswell's momentum heading into the final 3 weeks of the campaign season, the campaign today announced that he has raised over $310,000 in the last financial quarter, topping the amount raised by Senator Guthrie.
The campaign has seen great successes not only in money raised, but also in the launch of an extensive grassroots voter contact campaign and in the recent upgrade of the race to "toss-up/tilt republican" in the Rothenberg Report, a national political ranking.
"Senator Boswell looks forward to sharing his plans for job creation and energy independence with the voters of the second district" said Mark Riddle, Boswell's senior strategist and media advisor. "Senator Guthrie is going to need every cent of the money Dick Cheney raised for him to explain how he can support NAFTA while opposing an increase in the minimum wage."
