CNN was forced to apologize today after a news commentator called the Chinese as a “bunch of goons and thugs”.
Jack Cafferty made the comments on April 9 on CNN’s political program, The Situation Room, in which he also described Chinese products as "junk".
In a statement, CNN said: “It was not Mr. Cafferty’s nor CNN’s intent to cause offense to the Chinese people, and we would apologize to anyone who has interpreted the comments in this way.
Cafferty was offering his “strongly held” opinion of the Chinese Government, not China’s people, the company said.

Make no mistake about it I'm an Obama fan, but when I saw a CNN video, January 7, 2008, one day before the New Hampshire primary of Barack Obama's black grandmother in Kenya dressed in Aunt Jemima like clothing, living in poverty, shucking corn, surrounded by chickens and clips of blacks rioting in Kenya, I knew what the message was and so did CNN.
A black man one generation removed from Africa and his poor black grandma living in poverty surrounded by black hoodlums, in Africa wow Barack Obama must really be an asshole, and a black asshole at that.
Well, CNN I'm still a Barack Obama fan and I'm not falling for your racist innuendos.

This summer and fall, YouTube, CNN and a few engaged and engaging citizens will make political history by having the presidential candidates answer questions submitted via YouTube videos.
The first debate will feature the Democratic candidates on July 23rd in Charleston, South Carolina. Submit your question for the Democrats between June 14 and July 22 (the earlier the better). The CNN political team will choose the most creative and compelling videos, and if yours is one of them, you may get the chance to fly to Charleston to watch the debate live and offer your reactions afterward on YouTube's political video blog, Citizentube.
