Ah, the Republican Party. They never hesitate to send your children off to war in the wrong country at the whim of a madman. However, if it came down to going to war with someone at your side, this breed of neo-con chickenhawks are the last folks you would want. I guess it is much easier to fight when someone else is doing it, unless of course you are fighting each other. What would it be called when several chickenhawks do battle anyway??
One can only remember with amusement them throwing Mitch McConnell's former golden-boy Ernie Fletcher under the bus in 2007. You see, when the Republicans are having good times with oil men in the White House driving up oil prices for their greedy buddies, shipping YOUR job to China, railing against the rights of those fat and sassy American workers, sending YOUR children to war, and crashing the economy costing you 85% of your 401k everthing is just peachy-keen. However, when times are tough they implode upon themselves like the cowardly lions they really are, just like in 2007.
The latest segment in this never-dying soap opera that is the castrated Republican Party is a joy to watch. Yes, Sen. Bunning is the latest casualty of the Republican brand of loyalty. Maybe he made them mad not voting to bail out their buddies in the banking industry. Or maybe they have finally realized that even by Republican standards, Bunning is well, a Screwball whether he threw one or not. The latest segment in "Days of our Republican Lives":
It doesn't look like Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) will be posting a strong first quarter of fundraising, if his comments today to Kentucky reporters are any indication.
In a conference call today, Bunning acknowledged he's been having difficulty fundraising, and blamed his struggles on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and NRSC chairman John Cornyn for raising doubt about his re-election plans.
Bunning has been feuding with the Republican leadership for the last two months, arguing they are trying to recruit a Republican challenger to defeat him in the primary.
The first fundraising quarter ends next Tuesday, and the reports are due by April 15.

Now, this particular soap opera puts me in the very uncomfortable position for me of defending Mitch McConnell, and John Cornyn. However, one must only assume that when you are a supposed "Christian" and have run on "Christian values" then proceed to wish death upon a Supreme Court justice, and use the Lord's name in vain in cursing reporters for inquiring about your polling, then you probably do not need a lot of help in sinking your fundraising.
Maybe Bunning can get on that dinosaur at the creationist museum and ride into the sunset. As long as he doesn't show up in Kentucky, or Detroit for that matter he should be OK. Maybe he can join George W. Gump in Crawford and they can clear some brush and share stories about the good ole days when they were starting wars in the wrong country, and crashing our economy into a ditch.
you need a good picture of Bunning to add to your post LOL look at the campaign sticker this should throw little salt in the wound
